Four Local School Leaders Return with New Perspectives to Strengthen Their Schools
This summer, Choctawhatchee High School Assistant Principal Nichole Humphreys joined three fellow educators from the Okaloosa County School District for the Gardner Carney Leadership Institute (gcLi) Leadership Lab at Stevenson School in Monterey, California. The event provided an excellent opportunity to focus on LEI educator leadership. Additionally, it was a great opportunity for professional development.
Joining her were Melissa Bowell, Principal of Meigs Middle School; Brittany Tate, Assistant Principal of Pryor Middle School; and Marcelo Mueller, Assistant Principal of Fort Walton Beach High School.
Together, they participated in an immersive professional leadership lab alongside educators from across the country. They exchanged ideas, built meaningful connections, and explored innovative approaches to leadership and student success.
