Okaloosa County, FL — A group of students from across Okaloosa County is preparing to step outside their comfort zones and into powerful, life-changing leadership experiences this summer. Representing multiple schools across the district, these students have been selected for opportunities designed to challenge them physically, mentally, and emotionally—while helping them grow into confident, resilient leaders.
Through immersive programs like Outward Bound USA and Students Shoulder to Shoulder, participants will engage in team-based expeditions, cultural experiences, problem-solving challenges, and meaningful self-reflection. These experiences are known for fostering independence, perseverance, empathy, and a deeper understanding of personal leadership in unfamiliar environments.
